                                                                     Highschool Reflection

My experience in high school was phenomenal. I started since the schools Strive Prep was founded, I started since middle school. I was 15 years old when a Strive Prep teacher came to my house and spoke to my parents and I about this school. I didn't really like the experience of entering this school because of the fact that we had to wear uniforms, and it was totally different from other normal high schools. I remember the first day of high school like it was yesterday, getting on the bus with such nervousness that I just wanted to run back home. One of the biggest challenges I experienced was not being able to speak English correctly and making new friends. As time passed I changed over the years I learned to have more courage in me and to step up to new challenges because the challenges I faced here at Strive Prep Excel help me to be courageous outside in the real world.

In this high school I learned to be more independent and how to work with others (teamwork). I would say that one of my favorite, caring, and understanding teachers I would always be thankful for would be Mr.Cook. He was a teacher with a lot of experience teaching all over the world. He taught us different cultures and in a way that I and my peers would understand. I will always be thankful to him, another person that I really feel is special and important to me would be Ms. Hernandez. She is the type of person that cares for you as if you were her son or daughter. She understands every student and their situation, also I would like to thank Ms.Hyosaka for always making sure that every single student had a plan after high school and be ready for what's to come in our life. She is a really caring teacher and I feel that she went over her teaching norms to give us a taste of the real life out there once we graduate. Something I am really proud of my high school experience was being able to encounter challenges that made me the person I am today because high school taught me a little of what I am about to experience after graduation, and this is all thanks to the phenomenal teachers here at Strive Prep Excel.

My favorite part of  my high school experience was the people make me feel welcome again, I feel that if I could have done something different it would have been coming back to graduate earlier. The students, teacher, and principal made me like I was part of their community and made me part of their family. If I was to tell a freshman how to make the most of high school, I would tell them to always be a part of Strives  community, to have fun but also to do their daily work so that by their end of high school they won't be in a rush and graduate on time. I would say that the idea of Strive for college is a good idea or just the fact to say that you would strive for your dreams because what you want to in life.
